Using AI to launch AI super-computers

I joined Shira Bogart as part of a freelance team working with DDN to launch their biggest product to date, the Infinia AI supercomputer. The brief was to create a concept that could be used across all of their social and the virtual launch. We delivered a range of ideas to convey how this new product supercharges artificial intelligence to create incredbile outcomes in the real world.

Beyond Artificial.

DDN is the AI Data Intelligence Platform that powers the world’s largest AI infrastructure. The Infinia product has a unique data intelligence platform that not only supercharges data, but also has a smaller footprint. This supercharging of data is rocket fuel for such things as scientific research for cancer and autonomous vehicle development. Their partnership with NVIDIA and client stories including the training of Grok 3 for X.AI and scientific research at Stanford provided the proof. The final concept, copy, and assets were delivered to the internal team and agency partners to execute across all media.

AI becomes a visual concept.

With AI as a core focus of the brief, the opportunity to use AI-generated visuals took center stage. Working within the DDN brand guidelines, I created a graphic identity. My goal for imagery was almost all AI: AI stock, custom Midjourney imagery, and videos made with Runway-animated stills. Even the hero vector graphic was tweaked via Adobe Creative Suite’s AI tools. We included several videos including the video storyboard above, featured on the event landing page.

Different concepts, very different visual directions.

Given we had a very tight timeline to nail a concept, we showed a range of strikingly different ideas and visual directions. In the past, we’d be stuck with stock imagery that could make every direction feel the same. It was important for each idea to feel distinct and different, as well as diverge from the typical visual directions that happen with so many events. I leveraged Midjourney to create imagery custom to the details in our brief, whether it was categorical to their client stories or to the ideas themselves. The results were artful and cool.

"... we're going to build faster and faster brains, and faster and faster computers but those fast computers can only learn if the storage system that DDN create are able to provide fuel to that brain"
